This mid-size crossover, produced since 2005, replaced the Hilux Surf SUV. It is based on the platform of the modern Hilux pickup, and its exterior and interior were created by Toyota's design division in Australia.
The model is equipped with two petrol engines (2.7 and 4.0 L) and two diesel engines (2.5 and 3.0 L), which work in conjunction with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. In the base version, the car has rear-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is offered as an option.
