The first convertible <a href="/news/newcars/18140.html">Chevrolet Camaro</a> has been brought to the Ukrainian market. To prove that the open-top version is not afraid of our roads and climate, the company published a video where engineers test the car for durability.
According to the manufacturer, during the development stage, the car's electric roof was opened and closed more than 22,500 times — three times more than the average driver does over ten years of use. Part of the tests took place in extreme conditions: temperatures ranged from -30 to +77 degrees, and humidity reached 95 percent. In addition to the folding mechanism, General Motors also tested the three-layer roof material for water resistance. The company also randomly selects several production cars and subjects them to intensive water spraying for eight minutes — this happens at the plant in Oshawa and at the GM test site in Michigan.
