You need to have a good understanding of the rules and be able to argue your position convincingly — inspectors often get on your nerves and try to push you into a fine without real grounds.

Yes, it is worth rereading the book with the rules before November 17. At least a couple of times.

Honestly, I don't even know where to start with this issue. I have neither insurance, nor a fire extinguisher, nor a first aid kit — it's unclear how I've been driving up to this point. Now either I'll have to buy all of that, or get ready for the inspectors to take the last thing I have if it comes to a dispute. Such are our rules.

Actually, a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and insurance are needed not by inspectors, but by the driver himself, and they should be purchased together with the car.

How much will you have to pay for a trip without a first aid kit? In general, for traffic police officers, the very fact of leaving the garage is already a serious violation.

The fines look absurd because they bear no relation to people's real incomes. Order on the roads depends on the inevitability of punishment, not its severity. The traffic police didn't work on the roads before, and they still don't work even after November 17 — the mess continues, and the new fine nightmare will hit not malicious violators but ordinary drivers. I've already encountered this and can show photo evidence. This whole endeavor is outrageous. As is the government, so is the result.

If you have money for a personal car, then you'll find money to pay fines. Everyone is always complaining about lack of money. Fines have long been increased everywhere, so there's not much to be indignant about here. Judging by the comments, one gets the impression that everyone is violating and at the same time thinks that it should be so — without any consequences. Drive carefully, follow the rules — and you'll be happy.
