Subaru Impreza debuted in 1992. Initially, the model was developed as a base for a WRC championship race car. In 2000, the top version Impreza WRX STI was released, which quickly became an iconic sports car and the main competitor of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The third generation Impreza appeared in 2007 and received a completely updated design, as well as a hatchback body that replaced the sport wagon.
