Porsche Macan is a premium compact crossover built on the Audi Q5 platform. The name Macan translates from Indonesian as "tiger." The model premiered in November 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Buyers have access to two turbocharged gasoline engines with displacements of 3.0 and 3.6 liters, producing 340 and 400 hp respectively. For those who prefer diesel, a 3.0-liter engine with 258 hp is offered. All versions are equipped with a single seven-speed semi-automatic PDK transmission.
Depending on the modification, the Macan may have a standard spring suspension or electronically controlled PASM dampers with three modes: Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus. For the Porsche Macan Turbo version, such suspension is standard. Sales in Ukraine began in 2014.
