The Nissan Pathfinder first appeared in 1986. In some markets, the model was sold under the name Terrano. The second generation Pathfinder also had a luxury version, the QX4, under the Infiniti brand. Since 2004, with the release of the third generation, the name Pathfinder has become unified across all markets, and the Infiniti version was discontinued.
