Nissan Almera: prices and specifications

5 generations Country of origin: Japan

Nissan Almera is a compact C-class car that replaced the Nissan Sunny model, which had been produced for over 30 years. The name Almera has no direct interpretation: it was generated by a computer, to which Japanese engineers set the condition to select a name associated with the sea and the Mediterranean. This name is used by Nissan's European division, while in other markets the model is known as the Pulsar, Sentra, or Bluebird Sylphy.

First generation (1995)

The first generation Nissan Almera debuted in 1995. The car was built on the N15 platform and was produced in three body styles: sedan, three-door hatchback, and five-door hatchback. In 1998, the model underwent a facelift.

Second generation (2000)

The second generation entered the market in 2000. It was based on the new global MS platform developed jointly with Renault. The model received significant stylistic changes and more economical engines. The facelifted version of the second generation appeared in 2003: in addition to the updated design, the car began to be equipped with modernized engines, and the suspension was retuned for greater rigidity to improve handling.

Almera Classic (2006)

In 2006, the joint venture Renault Samsung Motors launched production of the SM3 sedan, which is sold in CIS markets under the name Almera Classic, and in Latin America is known as the Nissan B10.

Third generation (2012)

The third generation was introduced in 2012 at the Moscow International Automobile Salon. The new Almera is based on the Bluebird Sylphy G11, has lost the Classic suffix, and will be produced in Russia exclusively as a sedan.

Ukrainian market

On the Ukrainian market, the Almera Classic sedan is officially sold in two trim levels: budget Comfort and luxury Luxury. There is only one engine — 1.6 liters, which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. Drive — exclusively front-wheel drive.
