The compact van with its recognizable "cubic" body debuted in the Nissan lineup in 1998. It was based on the platform of the Micra model. Initially, the new model was intended exclusively for the domestic Japanese market, and it reached the markets of North America and Europe only in the early 2000s.
In 2002, production of the second generation began — the car received an updated exterior and a more spacious interior. The third generation was released in 2009 and changed dramatically in appearance: sharp lines gave way to smooth contours, and an asymmetrical window appeared at the rear. When designing the interior, the designers were inspired by the shapes of a jacuzzi, striving to make the cabin as cozy as possible for passengers.
The engine lineup includes three gasoline engines (1.5, 1.6, and 1.8 liters) and one diesel engine (1.5 liters). Transmissions — five- or six-speed manual gearbox, as well as a continuously variable transmission. Drive — front or all-wheel drive.
