JAC J4: prices and specifications

JAC J4 is a compact sedan designed by Italian designers and aimed at young buyers.

The model's production started in August 2013. Until 2014, the car was sold only in China, after which the company began exporting it to foreign markets.

The sedan is built on a new JAC passenger car platform. In the domestic market, it is known as the A30, where it has been sold for about a year. In the brand lineup, the J4 occupies a position one step below the J5 sedan.

The car is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine producing 111 hp. Two transmissions are available: a 5-speed manual or a CVT. At the end of 2014, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 160 hp is planned.

Despite its compact dimensions, the J4 comes with rich equipment: a touchscreen, 6 airbags, and an ABS+EBD system. In crash tests, the model scored 54.4 points out of 60 and earned 5 stars in the C-NCAP rating.

Sales in Ukraine were scheduled to begin in 2015.
