Ferrari F12 berlinetta: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: Italy

Ferrari F12 berlinetta is a two-door rear-wheel drive coupe in the "super grand tourismo" class, created to replace the 599 model. The name encodes: the letter F (Ferrari), the number 12 (year of creation — 2012), and the word berlinetta, denoting a body type with a special mechanism for opening the engine compartment lid, which was used for rear- and mid-engine versions.

Work on this sports coupe began in 2010. The design was developed by Ferrari and Pininfarina specialists, combining in the appearance of the new model the features of its predecessor 599 and the FF sports coupe. Road tests, including on the Nürburgring track, took more than a year. Before the official premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, the brand's management showed the car online to introduce fans to the new sports car in advance.

The Ferrari F12 berlinetta became the most powerful production sports car in the history of the Italian brand. Under the hood is a 6.3-liter V-shaped 12-cylinder naturally aspirated engine producing 730 horsepower and 690 N·m of torque at 6000 rpm. It is paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox with two F1 clutches. Drive — rear.
