FAW V2: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: China

FAW V2 is a compact city hatchback that replaced the Vita C1 model in the lineup of the Chinese brand FAW. The model name is an abbreviation of the Latin word Vita, which translates to "life" in English.

In 2007, after the launch of serial production of the Vita C1, FAW management decided to expand the family of compact city hatchbacks that were generating good profits for the company. In early 2008, engineers and designers were tasked with developing a new car, but due to the financial and economic crisis, the project was frozen. By 2010, the company returned to this development. By that time, the Vita C1 had become outdated both morally and technically, so it was decided to discontinue it and release a completely new model instead. Refining the frozen project took two years. During this time, minor changes were made to the suspension, engine, and transmission design. The interior and exterior were also slightly modified, and the body was reinforced to improve passive safety. Road tests of prototypes were conducted on tracks in China and Russia.

The official premiere of the hatchback took place in 2012 at the Beijing Auto Show. The model is available only in one body style — a five-door hatchback, although a three-door version may appear in the future.

Sales of the FAW V2 in Ukraine began in the spring of 2013. The car is equipped with a modern 1.3-liter gasoline engine with a VCT-I fuel injection system. The engine works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission. Drive — front.
