About the dealership
Honda Motor was founded by Soichiro Honda in the Japanese city of Hamamatsu. At that time, the country was in dire need of simple and affordable means of transportation, and the company started by producing mopeds using small engines left over from the war. The basis for this was the founder's personal passion for internal combustion engines and his hard work.
Soon the company moved on to developing its own engines and motorcycles. Even then it was clear that it could become a notable and innovative force in the automotive industry. Despite the fact that Honda motorcycles gained recognition in Japan due to their quality, good performance and reliability, they did not yet enjoy such trust on the international stage.
In 1966, the company began producing small sedans, and four years later it started exporting its first model, the Honda 600, to other countries. While these cars were paving the way for the brand, engineers were working on another small-displacement car for the global market, where economical vehicles were valued. The result of this work was the Honda Civic, introduced in 1973 and immediately gaining recognition from customers worldwide.
Since the beginning of automobile production, the company has offered a wide range of vehicles with low fuel consumption on the global market. Every Honda car is created with the principle in mind: the car must be environmentally friendly, save energy and resources, but at the same time fully meet the needs of owners. Since its founding, the company has grown very quickly and has become one of the leading manufacturers of vehicles with a solid reputation. This success is explained by many reasons, but especially important is Honda's holistic approach to technology. For the company, engineering is the foundation of everything: it is more important to anticipate the needs of customers and society and offer new solutions than to simply produce products based on existing developments. Success is also associated with a passion for new technologies, a desire to do what no one else has done, and an energetic corporate culture where both healthy competition among employees and teamwork are valued.
