Imported car

I have a question. I'm thinking about buying a used car imported from Germany. The price of the car there is about 3-5 thousand euros, but it's important for me to understand how much customs clearance and registration will cost here. As far as I understand, the customs fee will be about 3,500 euros - that's if the car is 12-15 years old, diesel, 2.5 liter engine. Please advise what other payments there will be and what documents are needed for registration?

There are quite a few hidden complexities in this matter. It is more reliable to turn to specialized professionals — this way it will be both cheaper and without unnecessary strain. There are plenty of such masters at the car market.

It will really come out to no less than 15 thousand dollars — that's the price of a decent new car in Ukraine, not to mention a used one. So I don't see the point in dragging a fifteen-year-old car from Germany for that kind of money.

Registering such a car will cost a pretty penny, so you can forget about customs clearance for a car older than seven years.
