The eternal question: is insurance even needed at all? Especially now, during the crisis, especially in Ukraine. If banks don't return deposits and the state has no influence on it, then what confidence can there be in insurance companies? And who to trust at all, when even major players don't fulfill their obligations, and the collapse of yet another small firm is talked about at every turn?

I disagree with those who say that all insurance companies are the same and all are on the verge of collapse. That's not true. You just need to approach the choice wisely, and then everything will be fine. Of course, the situation is noticeably worse now than a year ago, but it's still possible to find a decent insurance company, in my opinion.

Maybe it's possible, but the question is where to look. If such major players as Oranta and TAS are in distress during the crisis, then what can be said about small insurance companies.

The crisis hit everyone

Crisis is crisis, but our auto liability insurance hasn't gone anywhere. Traffic police inspectors are actively checking for the presence of the policy. And insurance companies are already warning about the price increase of this very policy.

In my opinion, right now it is most reasonable to take out insurance with small companies where you have acquaintances. I was insured with the Aurora insurance company for two years — hardly anyone has heard of it, but I had three insured events, and all three times the repairs were done instantly, one phone call was enough.

I haven't even heard of such a company as IC "Aurora". But even with large insurers, you should stay alert: many of them hide behind a big name to attract customers, and then refuse to pay.
