The flagship model of Seat, produced since 2008, is available in two body types: full-size sedan and station wagon. The car is based on the front-wheel drive Volkswagen B7 platform and is a reworked version of the Audi A4, from which it differs in certain exterior and interior elements.
Seat Exeo is equipped with several gasoline engines (ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 liters) and two diesel engines with a displacement of 2.0 liters. They are paired with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as a robotized gearbox with six or seven ranges.
