Upon entering the showroom, most people assess the car's exterior, interior, and then the trunk. But sometimes the trunk volume is the main parameter. Let's start with that.

Lifan X60

In the Lifan X60, the luggage compartment is quite spacious, capable of holding several large suitcases or bags of potatoes. Three or four of them will fit here without any problems. If you need to transport more, you can fold down the rear seats. True, the folding/unfolding process itself is not for people with weak muscles.

The video test will tell you in detail about the impressions of the Lifan X60:

After the client has examined the volume of the luggage compartment, his further path lies to the driver's seat. He must evaluate the ergonomics of the cabin. Inside the car, he will inspect and feel everything possible. The Lifan X60 should not greatly disappoint him with its ergonomics, but it is unlikely to please with the quality of the trim. It is far from ideal.

Lifan X60

If the height of a potential buyer does not exceed one meter ninety, he will not have to spend a long time looking for a comfortable position for the seat and steering wheel. Except that he will notice the lack of steering wheel reach adjustment. Nevertheless, you can sit comfortably. It should be noted that a person accustomed to sitting behind the wheel correctly, as instructors recommend, will not feel any problems. And only a driver who likes to drive semi-reclined will grumble, saying the steering wheel is a bit far.

Regarding the interior design, the following can be noted: the ergonomics correspond to the standards of European, Korean, or Japanese analogues, from which it was partially copied. In the new car, which is the test sample, no additional noises were noticed, except those made by the engine and tires. The only squeak that initially bothered us at the beginning of the test was eliminated by us. The problem was that the rear seat backrest touched the crossbar of the rear curtain (which replaces the trunk shelf). Squeaks occurred at the point of contact. Since the rear seat backrests are adjustable for tilt, it was enough to tilt them away from the beam to eliminate extraneous sounds.

After that, the overall noise level remained at the level of Korean analogues. At speeds up to 100 kilometers per hour, it is quite satisfactory, but then you realize that additional sound insulation would not hurt. But most of all, the quality of the trim is depressing inside the cabin. The plastic feels cheap and does not look its best. The parts "move around," and it seems that they are simply not secured. It is worth thinking about whether they will be silent after a couple of tens of thousands of kilometers. Especially when driving on our roads...

Lifan X60

We have already tested the Lifan X60 with a five-speed manual transmission. This car has an automatic transmission installed. According to sensations, the automatic is very ancient and thoughtful. Therefore, future car owners should be warned right away: when leaving courtyard areas, when turning, and generally everywhere you merge into traffic, do it with a gap. When starting from a standstill, the gearbox is so thoughtful that you may start moving at the moment when your fellow drivers have already approached you. You simply will not have time to complete the maneuver. The same applies to overtaking. In terms of thoughtfulness, this automatic is about 15 years old. Nevertheless, for a calm driver who prefers unhurried movement around the city, this is not so important.

The Chinese approached the equipment with their characteristic generosity. The car is richly stuffed: a radio with USB, MP3, power windows, sensors for unfastened seat belts, open doors, etc.

Lifan X60

If you are in no hurry, the X60 behaves quite decently. But it depends on what you compare it with, of course. The suspension seemed normal during unhurried driving, but strange during maneuvering and driving on rough terrain. Although the suspension handles bumps, it does so in a somewhat "loose" manner and not particularly gently for passengers. Honestly, we never understood whether it is stiff or vice versa...

Lifan X60

Despite the fact that the car is front-wheel drive, it still went on country roads and dirt roads. The ground clearance allows you to feel more confident compared to owners of ordinary passenger cars, but we would still not advise going into sand and mud. The drive here is still not full. And without it, ground clearance on such surfaces does not provide a big advantage. No matter how you look at it, asphalt is its main element.

Lifan X60

It is unlikely that a motorist spoiled by new foreign cars will be pleasantly impressed by this car. Steering, suspension, gearbox operation, acceleration dynamics... all this does not belong to the advantages of this car. And the brakes are not distinguished by a strong grip. True, if you came to the Lifan dealership in a VAZ or a foreign car with a mileage of 400 thousand km, it may appeal to you. Rich equipment, a rather pleasant appearance, and attractive lighting make it an attractive car for a Ukrainian with an average income. And he, as you know, loves crossovers very much... and is also used to difficulties, so most likely he will be ready to independently eliminate squeaks in the cabin and eliminate other nuances. Or not?
