Freedom. Applied to a car, this concept is revealed in different ways. First of all, it is the ability to reach any point on the planet without unnecessary hassle, maintaining comfort and safety in any conditions: in snowdrifts, in mud, on rocky trails and among sand dunes.
It is this kind of true, not ostentatious versatility that has been the hallmark of Discovery for two decades. Land Rover has consistently ensured high off-road capability and did everything to make its models rightfully considered "real SUVs".

A REAL OFF-ROADER
Those who worry about preserving traditions can breathe a sigh of relief: the Discovery 4 has become more refined than its predecessor, but at the same time has not lost any of its off-road talents.
The already familiar magical Terrain Response system, which turns any driver into an experienced conqueror of off-road, has been supplemented with the Gradient Release function, which simplifies starting on steep inclines, and a new assist system for towing a trailer. As a result, the fourth-generation Discovery passes the most treacherous sections with even greater ease, which few would voluntarily venture into. However, we expected nothing less.
ON ASPHALT
The car's behavior on regular roads was unexpectedly pleasant — it has noticeably improved. And this despite the fact that the car's dimensions are serious, and its weight confidently exceeds two and a half tons.
The updated chassis, re-tuned suspension and steering have made the Discovery 4 much more confident on asphalt.
More efficient brakes and a new six-speed automatic transmission also came in handy. Now it is an ideal companion for long family trips. And not even one — because the interior can now accommodate seven people.
On the highway and on winding roads, the new three-liter V6 turbodiesel with two turbos pleases with a smooth yet powerful response. At the same time, it successfully combines decent dynamics with moderate fuel consumption and acceptable emission levels.

NEW YEAR UPDATES
Land Rover has had a year rich in premieres, starting with the flagship that debuted in the summer. Now it's the turn of the Range Rover Sport: the exterior has been slightly refreshed in a sporty style, the interior has become even more luxurious, and the chassis and electronically controlled suspension have been refined. The brakes have been replaced with new ones, and the Terrain Response system has received additional functions. However, the top of the engine range remains the 5.0-liter Supercharged petrol V8 producing 510 hp. The engine lineup also includes a V6 turbodiesel, familiar from the Discovery 4. As a result, the car has become even more composed on asphalt and, as always, is not afraid of serious off-road. In addition, Land Rover is catching the "political trend" and pays more attention to ecology. Prices – from 2,837,000 to $114,076 (912,601 UAH)
