The damp and extremely slippery asphalt of "Ascari" in southern Spain initially inspires apprehension, and the steep downhill turn looks truly treacherous. However, this Audi enters the corner with obvious eagerness — a light touch on the brake redistributes weight to the front axle, and the car obediently turns. At the apex of the arc, you can confidently press the gas: any mistake will be corrected by the electronics. In second gear, the R8 begins to gently slide outward with all four wheels. The stability control light doesn't go out for a second while the ten-cylinder engine confidently pulls the coupe out of the corner. A slight steering correction — and the car is again aligned along the edge of the track... But the track demonstrates only one side of this car. In essence, the R8 V10 is a grand tourer. Very fast, even superfast, but still a grand tourer! Whether on a weekend trip or in a multi-hour traffic jam, the driver will feel quite comfortable. It is on ordinary roads that the supercar from Ingolstadt shows its best side.
