MINI Paceman: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: United Kingdom

The Mini Paceman is a conceptual hatchback that expanded the lineup of all-wheel drive models from the German manufacturer. The model name is derived from the English words pace and man, together meaning "fast-moving person."

Development of the car began in Mini's engineering departments in the mid-2000s. The first prototype of the future model was the Mini Coupe concept, presented in 2009. Two years later, it transformed into the three-door Paceman concept, which debuted at the Detroit Auto Show.

The car's design was created by renowned body stylist Gert Hildebrand. The Mini Paceman is based on the platform of the brand's first crossover, the Countryman. The interior design is similar to the "Countryman," and the equipment includes a number of innovative options, including the ALL4 all-wheel drive system.

Under the hood, two gasoline engines (1.6 liters) and two diesel engines (1.6 and 2.0 liters) are installed. They are paired with six-speed automatic and manual transmissions. The car has front-wheel drive, with an all-wheel drive modification available as an option.
