The Great Wall Haval M4 is a compact urban crossover from the Chinese company Great Wall. According to the new classification adopted in 2009, all off-road models of the brand received the name Haval, and the index M4 denotes a "C-class urban crossover".
Work on the model began in 2011, when the company's management decided to expand the line of compact urban crossovers. In China, the car went on sale in May 2012 and has since consistently been among the top ten best-selling crossovers in the country.
Under the hood is a modern 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 104 horsepower and a torque of 138 Nm. Available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. Drive is only front-wheel.
The crossover's equipment includes an adjustable steering column, a multimedia system with steering wheel controls, air conditioning or climate control, front airbags, ABS from Bosch, as well as brake assist BAS and electronic brake-force distribution EBD. The car is equipped with a rearview camera and parking sensors. The top Elite version features an ESP stability control system.
On the Ukrainian market, the Great Wall Haval M4 appeared in May 2013. For Ukraine, the model was offered with the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
