Direct fuel injection
Direct fuel injection is a method of delivering fuel in which it is directed straight into the cylinders of the power unit, bypassing the intake manifold. This approach is also called direct injection. Engines equipped with this system are characterized by increased fuel efficiency and reduced levels of harmful emissions, but they are sensitive to the characteristics of the fuel used. This technology is applied in units running on both gasoline and diesel.
