Opposed engine

A boxer engine is a power unit in which the cylinders are placed at an angle of 180 degrees, that is, opposite each other. Due to this design, the engine becomes flat, which helps lower the vehicle's center of gravity. However, servicing such an engine is noticeably more difficult, so it has not become widespread. Today, such units are found only in Porsche and Subaru models.
