Chevrolet Volt: prices and specifications

Chevrolet Volt is a front-wheel drive C-class hatchback. General Motors calls it an electric car, although the presence of a gasoline engine that drives an electric generator and assists when driving uphill allows it to be considered a hybrid. The electric motor produces 150 hp, accelerating the car to 160 km/h. The lithium-ion battery charges in three hours and provides a range of up to 60 km, and together with the 1.4-liter gasoline engine, the range increases by another 500 km. A distinctive feature of the model is the CVT transmission. Production of the Volt began in the USA in 2010, and the car entered European markets in 2011.
