In 2005, the Cadillac STS replaced the Seville model. This sport sedan is based on the GM Sigma platform and is offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Initially, the car was produced only in the United States until 2007, after which production was moved to China, where it continues to this day. American production of the STS ended in 2011. For the Chinese market, there is a long-wheelbase version called the SLS.
The model is equipped with three gasoline engines with displacements of 3.6, 4.4, and 4.6 liters, which are paired with a five- or six-speed automatic transmission.
