Driver is suing the traffic police over the 'Vizir' device

April 6, 2009 · A discussion from the forum archive

You won't go against the cops alone, even if this radar is a highly dubious thing.
The main income of traffic cops comes from drivers who don't know their rights well, get scared, and immediately offer money. But if you start arguing, ask to see the badge, demand documents, and mention court or the prosecutor's office, they prefer not to mess with you and let you go. It was the same with this 'Vizir': while it had just appeared, everyone was wary of it, but now gradually a way to deal with it is being found.
I don't get the point — so what if the inspector presses? Is he pushing the oncoming car with his finger?
