Magnetic ski mounts

January 27, 2009 · A discussion from the forum archive

We went on vacation to Bukovel using magnetic ski mounts. According to the documents, the speed should not exceed 65 km/h, but we drove at 120 km/h. If anyone has tried driving faster, write how much — people are interested.
If someone was overtaking, don't forget to tell later how much the windshield cost for the car that was driving behind.

Before that, we attached it to a metal sheet in the store and tested it for separation — it's easier to remove a hatch cover with bare hands than to remove this mount. There is a special grip provided for removal.
Probably, it's not for nothing that the passport specifies a speed limit of 65 km/h.
