Introduction of driver's license validity period: truth and fiction

The driving community of Ukraine was greatly agitated by statements from the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the introduction of a validity period for driver's licenses. Initially, it was about mandatory replacement, then about the fact that existing licenses would remain valid, but for traveling abroad, new ones with a limited validity period would need to be obtained, since from March 29, 2011, other documents would allegedly not be recognized by foreign police.
