I have a Volkswagen Passat B6 2008. During long trips, after stopping and removing the ignition key, the power steering lock engages. Diagnostics at a service station showed that ignition power was lost.

Tell me, what could be the cause?

Може, проблема в самому замку запалювання чи в контактній групі. У мене щось подібне було на іншій машині — там роз'єм відійшов.
