Our roads without tsunamis and earthquakes. Sinkhole on Telihy Street

July 11, 2011 · A reader note from the archive

On Saturday around 3:30 p.m., near the intersection of Telihy and Kopylovska streets, a heavy downpour damaged engineering communications.

As a result, a sinkhole formed on the roadway, into which a truck traveling from Petrivka towards Shuliavka fell. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Traffic on this section is completely blocked until repair work is completed.

You can bypass the area via Petropavlivska and Frunze streets. Those coming from Troieshchyna should use Perova Boulevard, Bratyslavska Street, and then Brovarskyi Avenue. For residents of Obolon, the traffic police recommend a route along Heroiv Stalinhrada, Naberezhno-Rybalska, and Elektrykiv streets. You can also bypass the work site via Novokostiantynivska and Frunze streets.
