TOYOta - excellent car

November 1, 2008 · A discussion from the forum archive

How do you feel about the new steering wheel, or am I the only one who bought it
No way, because for that money you can get a Lancer X 2.0. Now that's a car. And don't say it's stiff or rattles — that's all just gossip. First take a ride in it, and then judge.
The main drawback of the Corolla is the lack of a full-fledged automatic transmission: instead, it has an unfinished robotic manual. At the same time, it is quieter than the Lancer X, although it's better to keep quiet about that.
Toyota may not be what it once was, but it's still far from reaching the level of the Lancer.
\I am of the same opinion, the Lancer is a shapeless barn
The design of the Lancer X is quite stylish, actually.
Lancer is indeed a great car, but Corolla is a classic for retirees.
Yes, but Toyota is reliability, and Lancer is cheap.
Well, that's quite a comparison, of course. Look at the trim levels of Toyota and Mitsubishi. Get behind the wheel of both, take a ride — then talk. Toyota is quality, while Mitsubishi is just cheap.

Agreed, but besides cheap plastic and looks, there's nothing special about the Lancer. I'll repeat: compare the full trim of these cars and the price, and then draw conclusions.
I fully support, but the question here is — what are we going to drive on them.
Can you drain gasoline from a Toyota Prado at home using a hose?
