I'm completely confused: on one hand, this "robot" seems more convenient, but on the other, there's so much negativity about this particular model. Tell me, how is it in reality?

If you feel confident driving a manual, it's better to steer clear of a robotic gearbox. It takes a long time to adapt to such an automatic, and there's no guarantee that you'll ever get used to it. Here's a detailed article about different types of automatic transmissions.

For me, mechanics is much more familiar and convenient, although I also quickly get used to an automatic — within a couple of days. It's not hard to get the hang of it.
