I've been looking at a Volkswagen Sharan Comfort 1.8T with a 5-speed manual gearbox, mileage — 270,000 km. What should I pay attention to first during inspection? What are the weak points of this model, and what are its strengths? I would be grateful for advice.

First of all, it's worth finding out how much life the turbo has left — it's unknown how the previous owner treated it. Apart from the front suspension, which doesn't have a large margin of safety, this model has virtually no obvious weak points. I would advise not to skimp on a proper diagnostic: a mileage of 270 thousand is already serious.

Для Шарана з таким пробігом головне — стан турбіни і коробки, а ще перевір чи не тече масло з двигуна. Слабкі місця — це підвіска і електрика, тож оглядай ретельно.
