Rolls-Royce Wraith: prices and specifications

2 generations Country of origin: United Kingdom

Rolls-Royce Wraith is a two-door coupe from the British manufacturer that replaced the 25/30 model. Its name translates from English as "ghost".

The British company Rolls-Royce is not new to using mystical themes in names: previously, the Ghost, Spirit, and Phantom models were produced.

First generation (1938)

The name Wraith first appeared in 1938 with the launch of a two-door coupe that replaced the 25/30 model. The car was equipped with a 4.3-liter petrol engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission — an advanced gearbox for its time. A distinctive feature was the front independent coil spring suspension, while the rear used traditional leaf springs. Production lasted only one year, with 492 units built.

Revival (2013)

Rolls-Royce management decided to revive the Wraith coupe in 2011. The first prototypes began road tests in the UK, Germany, and France in 2012.

The car is based on the Phantom Coupe but features more compact dimensions, a shorter wheelbase, and a wider rear track. The exterior and interior design was developed by the brand's chief designer.

The official presentation took place in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show. The model inherited the fastback body style and expressive radiator grille from its predecessor, which harmoniously integrated into the front of the car.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith appeared on the Ukrainian market in 2013.

The car is equipped with a 12-cylinder 6.6-liter twin-turbo petrol engine paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Drive is rear-wheel.
