Previously, the VW Jetta was described as a solid but too expensive car. With the arrival of Kaluga-built cars on the market, everything changed. On average, the price tag became eight percent lower. In the base version with a 1.6-liter engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, the Jetta costs 578,969 rubles.

The seats, comfortable and cozy, are upholstered in perforated fabric. The gear lever pleases with short throws and precise shifting. The headlights, although without xenon, provide excellent road illumination and good visibility. The clutch pedal with a long travel slightly stands out from the overall pedantic, German-tuned picture. However, over time you get used to it.

The Jetta's trunk is spacious, but this has not affected the cabin space. Rear passengers are quite comfortable, and a long trip will not be a test. Thanks to excellent handling and precise operation of the electric power steering, you forget that the engine's dynamics are not impressive. However, even with such an engine, the Jetta can go fast; the main thing is to watch the rear, which quickly goes into a skid during sharp maneuvers, and catch it in time.

As with other VW models, the Jetta's strong point is the brakes with well-tuned ABS, allowing you to reduce speed without active steering.
