About the Samsung brand

South Korea founded in 1968 Model range

The company known today as Samsung began its journey in Korea in 1938 as a small trading firm. In 1968, it merged with Sanyo, after which the current name Samsung Electronics emerged as a division of the Samsung Group corporation. The word "Samsung" itself translates from Korean as "three stars," and the brand's first logo indeed featured three red stars, which were later replaced by a blue ellipse.

The company's production history covers many areas. In 1978, production of washing machines and refrigerators began. In 1983, the first personal computer model SPC-1000 appeared. In 1998, the company started producing digital televisions. Besides electronics, the corporation also operates in the chemical industry and financial sector. However, Samsung gained worldwide fame precisely due to digital technology: phones, televisions, monitors, computer components, laptops, and other similar products.
