Iran, Islamic Republic of founded in 1966 Model range

SAIPA, the second largest Iranian manufacturer of cars, engines and components, was founded in 1966, with the majority of the capital in this company
belonging to the Iranian side (75%), and the remaining stake distributed among its foreign participants (including Citroen). The first contract for car assembly
SAIPA signed with Citroen. Under its terms, the Iranian automaker began production of the compact hatchback Citroen Dyane in 1968, which was named Jyane for the Iranian market. After
some time, the Iranian company mastered the production of the Jyane mini-pickup. From 1970 to 1979, the company produced a restyled version of the Baby-Brousse, and in 1975 SAIPA began licensed assembly of Renault models - 5 and 21. Having completed licensed cooperation with French brands in the 1980s-90s, the Iranian automaker entered into an agreement for licensed production of models from the Korean company Kia.
For the domestic market, the company produces the 701 Caravan minivan and the Tibo/Miniator sedan.
