The British brand Rolls-Royce was founded in 1904. Its creators were entrepreneur Charles Stewart Rolls and engineer Frederick Henry Royce. In 1931, Rolls-Royce bought out its main rival, the Bentley brand. Due to bankruptcy in 1971, the company was nationalized. In 1998, Rolls-Royce became part of the BMW Group.
