The AIRSCARF system, developed by Mercedes-Benz, provides heated air in the head area of the driver and passenger. Activation occurs by pressing a button: fans built into the headrests supply heated air through the deflectors on the front side. The user can choose one of three levels of heating intensity — minimum, medium, or maximum. This allows comfortable travel in the SL roadster in cool weather even with the roof up.
