SAIC Motor (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) is a Chinese automaker that owns the SAIC Maxus brand, under which passenger and commercial vehicles are produced. It is the largest publicly traded automotive company in China. SAIC Motor's annual production volume is 7.5 million vehicles, and in 2020 alone, 5.6 million cars were sold on the domestic market.
The subsidiary SAIC Maxus was founded on March 21, 2011. In China, the company produces and sells SUVs, pickup trucks, minivans (MPVs), as well as light and medium-duty commercial vehicles. SAIC Maxus products are available in 42 countries worldwide.
