About the Jaguar brand
United Kingdom founded in 1922 Model range
Jaguar was founded in 1922 by William Lyons and William Walmsley. Initially, the brand was called Swallow Sidecar. The first model, designated SS1, appeared in 1931. After World War II, the name SS was changed to the more euphonious Jaguar.
In 1960, Jaguar acquired Daimler. Almost three decades later, in 1989, the brand itself became part of Ford Motor Company. In 2008, Ford sold Jaguar to the Indian company Tata Motors.
The brand's model lineup mainly consists of luxury sedans, as well as convertibles and coupes.
