About the JAC brand

China Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd (JAC) was founded in 1964. JAC is a comprehensive automotive company specializing in the production of passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, and buses. The annual production volume of vehicles manufactured by JAC exceeds 700,000 units, and the annual production volume of engines exceeds 500,000. JAC is among the top 10 largest manufacturers in China. JAC owns the largest research and development center in Hefei. The company's main slogan is «Better product, better world».

In 2005, the company established its first overseas research center in Turin, Italy, and in October 2006, the second overseas research center was opened in Tokyo, Japan. Thanks to strict quality control and continuous improvement of management, the company has been awarded the titles «Recommended Export Brand», «Most Competitive Brand in the Market», «National Quality Mark» by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station of the People's Republic of China. The engines produced by the company have been included in the «Top 10 Engines Made in China» for 4 consecutive years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012). Today, JAC exports its products to South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and maintains friendly relations with more than 120 countries around the world. In addition, there are over 100 4S dealerships and 14 KD plants worldwide that sell and manufacture JAC products.

In Cherkasy, at the plant of the «Bogdan» corporation, full-scale production (body welding, painting, and assembly) of two JAC models will begin: the J5 sedan and the S5 crossover. First, production of the sedan will start, and by the end of the year, it is planned to produce 180-200 such cars. In April 2014, the localization level of the JAC J5 should reach 51%, and by August 2014, the plant should reach production volumes of 300 cars per month. Next, the crossover will appear on the assembly line. In March 2014, its full-scale production will start, by October the localization level will reach 51%, and the plant will reach monthly output volumes of 200 units per month. In total, within a year, the «Bogdan» plant should produce 500 JAC cars per month.
