Nighttime Moscow became the backdrop for getting acquainted with the new Citroen C3 Picasso. This unusual presentation format perfectly highlighted the bright individuality of the new model.
Citroen C3 Picasso is like a bold sketch by an artist, embodied in metal and plastic. Every body line and every interior detail stands out for its originality. However, this design hides not only a flight of fancy but also sober engineering calculation.
The night test in the capital was supposed to demonstrate the car's uniqueness. Journalists faced a difficult challenge: first, they filled the trunk with cardboard boxes, the total volume of which reached 1506 liters. Then, a maneuverability test on the narrow paths of Yekaterininsky Park. The main difficulty was that in the dark it was easy not to notice strolling couples. Fortunately, everything went well — not a single couple in love was harmed.
But on suburban highways, the C3 Picasso also feels confident. The 1.4-liter gasoline engine, producing 95 horsepower, accelerates the car to 100 km/h in 12.2 seconds. Paired with this engine is a quite decent gearbox.
The most spectacular stage of the test was the ferry crossing. This non-standard task revealed unexpected talents of a purely urban car. As it turned out, the C3 Picasso has good geometric cross-country ability — even very steep descents were not a serious obstacle for it.
This memorable night presentation fully reflected the extraordinary character of the Citroen C3 Picasso. A compact but incredibly spacious car, whose price starts at $16,842 (134,730 UAH), will surely find its buyer.
