About the Chana brand

China founded in 1957 Model range

Chana (official full name — Chana Auto Co. Ltd, better known as ChangAn) is one of the largest Chinese automakers. The company's headquarters is located in Chongqing.

The history of the enterprise began in 1862 in Shanghai, where Mr. Hongzhang Li founded the so-called Shanghai Foreign Ordnance Bureau. This organization, actively associated with the Westernization Movement of the Qing dynasty, eventually evolved into the first industrial group in modern China.

Chana entered the automotive industry in 1957, producing the first Chinese jeep called the "Yangtze River". In 1984, the company began technical and commercial cooperation with Japanese Suzuki, which proved productive and successful.
