27. Driving on highways and roads for cars

27. DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS AND ROADS FOR CARS

27.1. When entering a highway or a road for cars, drivers must give way to vehicles moving on them.

27.2. On highways and roads for cars, it is prohibited:

a) driving of tractors, self-propelled machines and mechanisms;

b) driving of freight vehicles with a permitted maximum mass of more than 3.5 t outside the first and second traffic lanes (except for turning left or making a U-turn on roads for cars);

c) stopping outside special parking areas marked by road signs 5.42.1, 5.42.2, 5.42.3, 5.43 or 6.15;

d) making a U-turn and entering technological gaps in the dividing strip;

e) driving in reverse;

f) driving instruction.

27.3. On highways, except for specially equipped places, it is prohibited to drive mechanical vehicles whose speed according to their technical characteristics or their condition is less than 40 km/h, as well as driving and grazing animals in the road right-of-way.

27.4. On highways and roads for cars, pedestrians may cross the roadway only via underground or overhead pedestrian crossings.

It is allowed to cross the roadway of a road for cars in specially marked places.

27.5. In the event of a forced stop on the roadway of a highway or a road for cars, the driver must mark the vehicle in accordance with the requirements of paragraphs 9.9-9.11 of these Rules and take measures to remove it beyond the roadway to the right.
