25. Movement of vehicles in columns
25.1. Each vehicle moving as part of a column shall be fitted with an identification sign "Column" provided for in subparagraph "e" of paragraph 30.3 of these Rules, and the low beam headlights shall be switched on.
The identification sign may not be installed if the column is accompanied by operational vehicles with red, blue and red, green or blue and green flashing beacons and (or) special sound signals switched on.
25.2. Vehicles shall move in a column only in a single row as close as possible to the right edge of the carriageway, except when they are accompanied by operational vehicles.
25.3. The speed of the column and the distance between vehicles are established by the column commander or according to the driving mode of the lead vehicle in accordance with the requirements of these Rules.
25.4. A column moving without accompaniment by operational vehicles shall be divided into groups (no more than five vehicles in each), the distance between which shall ensure the possibility of overtaking the group by other vehicles.
25.5. In case of a column stopping on the road, the hazard warning lights shall be switched on on all vehicles.
25.6. Other vehicles are prohibited from taking a place for permanent movement in the column.
