18. Passage of pedestrian crossings and stops of vehicles
18.1. A driver of a vehicle approaching an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing where pedestrians are present must reduce speed, and if necessary stop, to give way to pedestrians for whom an obstacle or danger may be created.
18.2. At controlled pedestrian crossings and intersections, when the traffic light or traffic controller signal permits vehicle movement, the driver must give way to pedestrians who are finishing crossing the roadway in the corresponding direction of travel and for whom an obstacle or danger may be created.
18.3. When passing pedestrians who have not managed to finish crossing the roadway and are forced to be on a safety island or a line dividing traffic flows in opposite directions, drivers must maintain a safe interval.
18.4. If a vehicle reduces speed or stops before an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, drivers of other vehicles moving in adjacent lanes must reduce speed, and if necessary stop, and may continue (resume) movement only after making sure that there are no pedestrians on the pedestrian crossing for whom an obstacle or danger may be created.
18.5. In any place, the driver must give way to pedestrians with visual impairments who signal with a white cane directed forward.

18.6. It is prohibited to enter a pedestrian crossing if there is a traffic jam behind it that will force the driver to stop on this crossing.
18.7. Drivers must stop before a pedestrian crossing upon a signal provided for in subparagraph "c" of clause 8.8 of these Rules, if such a requirement comes from members of the school patrol, a unit of young traffic inspectors, appropriately equipped, or persons accompanying groups of children, and give way to children crossing the roadway.
18.8. The driver of a vehicle must stop to give way to pedestrians walking from the side of open doors to (or from) a tram standing at a stop, if boarding or alighting is carried out from the roadway or a landing area located on it.
It is allowed to continue movement only when pedestrians have left the roadway and the tram doors are closed.
18.9. When approaching a vehicle with the identification sign "Children", stopped with orange flashing beacons and/or hazard warning lights on, drivers of vehicles moving in the adjacent lane must reduce speed, and if necessary stop, to avoid hitting children.
