17. Advantages of route transport vehicles
17.1. On a road with a lane for route transport vehicles, marked by road sign 5.8 or 5.11, the movement and stopping of other vehicles (except taxis, mopeds, motorcycles (except motorcycles with sidecar, motorized wheelchairs, three-wheeled vehicles) and cyclists) on this lane is prohibited.
{Clause 17.1 as amended by Resolutions of the CM No. 370 dated 13.05.2020, No. 1105 dated 11.11.2020, No. 364 dated 01.04.2025}
17.2. A driver who turns right on a road with a lane for route transport vehicles, separated by a broken line of road marking, may make the turn from this lane. In such places, it is also allowed to enter it when leaving the road and for boarding or alighting passengers at the right edge of the carriageway.
17.3. Outside intersections, where tram tracks cross the lane of non-rail transport vehicles, priority is given to the tram (except in cases of the tram leaving the depot).
17.4. In populated areas, approaching a bus, minibus or trolleybus starting to move from a designated stop located in a lay-by "pocket", drivers of other vehicles are obliged to reduce speed, and if necessary, stop to allow the route transport vehicle to start moving.
17.5. Drivers of buses, minibuses and trolleybuses who have given a signal of intention to start moving from a stop must take measures to prevent a traffic accident.
