Parktronic (parking sensor) (Parking sensor)

Parktronic is a device that measures the distance to an object using ultrasound. The system is based on several radars that emit and receive high-frequency sound waves, allowing it to calculate how close an obstacle is. As a rule, these sensors are mounted in the car's bumper — rear or front. However, this approach has limitations: for example, the system may not notice an open hatch. Therefore, in some cases, parktronic is supplemented or even replaced by a rear-view camera.
