ISOFIX (Child seat mounting system)

ISOFIX is a standardized method of rigidly attaching a child car seat to the vehicle body, installed on the rear row of seats. The system is based on built-in anchors in the seat, to which special brackets on the seat itself are connected. Thanks to direct contact with the body, holding the child during a collision becomes significantly more reliable. This design eliminates the use of standard seat belts, simplifying installation and minimizing the risk of errors during mounting. In the USA, a similar development called LATCH is used.
