Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is an advanced version of regular cruise control that can not only maintain a set speed but also monitor a safe distance to the car ahead. The principle of operation is based on data from radars located at the front of the vehicle: they measure the distance to the vehicle ahead. If the distance begins to decrease, the system reduces speed and, if necessary, slightly applies the brakes. When the distance increases again, the car returns to its original speed. In case of rapid approach to an obstacle, ACC emits an audible signal, warning the driver that manual braking is needed.
